Brief
The client bought a property in the exclusive West End. They wanted a special home, accommodating six bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a swimming pool, gym, cinema, double garage and external terraces.
Solution
Stephen Ball provided executive architectural and project management services for the complex construction of a new five-storey townhouse, including two subterranean levels. It required full demolition in a Conservation Area of an existing 1980s house, deep excavations, and a new concrete superstructure. It is a classic iceberg development, with more new-build volume below ground than above. Stephen Ball successfully managed the planning and party wall procedures, and provided the coordinated technical drawings, site inspections and reports, until completion and handover to the client.
